Prachinburi is a very sought-after area by nature lovers. There are canals and waterfalls, which are main focus points for the sightseer. In keeping with most of eastern Thailand, Prachinburi has two main climatic seasons - wet and dry! june through to October being the main monsoon rainy season, whilst to this, cooler conditions prevail through November to February. March through to May are generally dry, but there are many climatic changes in Thailand, as with the rest of the world, so this information should be taken as a guide only |

At one time the provincial town of Prachinburi was a well-to-do area. Ruined towns have been unearthed to suggest so. The historical ruins yielded information about the area's past, and in particular its religious functions.
Many artefacts were unearthed - including Buddha Images, and story-telling earthenware relics.It is an area of diverse topography, with hills to the North, with forests and plains to the south and east of the area. The lower stretches of land to the south east and also to the west, are admirably suited to agriculture.
