Pattaya Scuba Diving Programs
Scuba diving is well represented in Pattaya area. There are many coral islands with spectacular sights and convenient for local divers.
The immediate areas of Pattaya do not offer the finest dives in the world - or in Thailand for that matter.
Visibility is sometimes poor and pollution is a problem. But, Pattaya is a good place for diving!
There are many offshore islands within easy reach which - whilst not providing the ultimate dives - are near to both Pattaya and Bangkok to warrant investigation.
Pattaya has numerous Dive Centres - PADI and otherwise - to cater for the heavy demand.
There are many options in and around Pattaya for Scuba Diving Courses at all levels - from PADI basic entry through to PADI master diver. It is a favourite place to receive instruction - not least because there are many other options for recreation - above water!
We would always recommend that you seek out PADI registered dive centres. Then you can be assured that the training you get will (should) be the best available.

Top Dive Destinations from Pattaya.
We hear consistently good reports about diving off the islands for which Thailand - and Pattaya - are famous for (Everyone will have their favourite).
Dive centres will arrange all that is necessary, but if you are experienced, just hop on one of the many boats that ferry you out. This way you will not necessarily get to the more remote better diving locations.
Ko Larn The Coral Island - is a top destination for visiting divers, but better dives are to be had around other Islands such as Koh Chang and the lesser known Ko Rin - a group of several islands that gets many good reports from our PADI Divemaster friend.
Ko Krock - only a few kilometres away - is very popular because of its nearness to Pattaya. If time is limited, it's a good choice. Turtles, Barracudas Anemones are all to be found - but it has a bit of a tide to be aware of.
There are a number of wreck dive sites that offer that little bit more for the more experienced - or accompanied - diver.
The one thing above all that Pattaya has - that not many other Thai dive sites have - is diving throughout the year. Such is our weather - and protection here. December through 'till April generally offers the best visibility and a water temperature that rarely drops below 27deg.
