Welcome to this new area of the website. It will shortly be a dedicated area of the site aimed at nothing but fashion in Thailand. As with everything on the site, we welcome your comments and contributions.
The Thai Fashion Scene extends well beyond the boundaries of the capital city of Bangkok. Fashion in all its incarnations is evident in all parts of Thailand. 'Fashion' is not just a particular clothing style, although it is in the clothing industry that we see most competition - both from seller and wearer!

Fashion accessories are rapidly gaining ground in the
Kingdom, as the commercial benefits are realised, and the young in
particular, become more 'with it' and prosperous!
But! Fashion extends well beyond the clothes and jewellery that you wear. It is where you live, what you drive (increasingly) and who you are!
We have all seen the 'add-ons' with cars old and new, as the owner attempts to 'impress' and ultimately, 'impressing' is what fashion is all about. We will not admit it of course, but without the 'people' living next door, or sharing our workplace, there would be no need to 'impress'.

You don't have to be rich - like Posh - to be a fashion icon. It helps of course, if you want to wander into the area of fast cars. All you have to do, is 'make a statement'. Tell the world that "THIS is me. Take it or leave it. Do you dare?
There are plenty of shops who are willing to take your money if you decide that the new 'you' can be bought over the counter. And let's face it - shopping is great fun, and oils the economic wheels of this great land. Just don't get caught in the trap of thinking that money makes fashion. It is more the case that fashion makes money!
'Wearable' fashion seems to alternate between the Japanese and Korean looks at the moment. Certainly this is the case in Bangkok. Whatever your preference, we aim to highlight the different things that make up 'Thailand Fashion' in this new section of our site.
Go for it. It is a healthy form of competition. We dare you to be different! My own faded jeans - torn from top to bottom - have been my main fashion statement for more years than I care to remember. But, they still do the job and are seemingly ageless - unlike the wearer!
Incidentally, we are looking for good writers to help us with this section. English is a must, but we will correct and interpret where necessary. Are you interested - and capable?
