The new Suan Lum Night Bazaar Ratchadaphisek will be considerably enlarged and up-graded, with a large shopping plaza.

The bazaar will also have its own 'Walking Street' with near to 2,000 shops vending a wide range of goods.

Suan Lum was an important outdoor shopping market in Lumpini area of Bangkok.

Open at nights with covered walkways and stalls, the Thais and Tourist alike, enjoyed the shopping experience.

But now the night bazaar has taken on a new life – as of November 2015 – and has re-opened at Ratchadaphisek, near the near Ratchada-Lat Phrao intersection.

The new Suan Lum Night Bazaar will be considerably enlarged and up-graded, with a large shopping plaza.

The bazaar will also have its own ‘Walking Street with near to 2,000 shops vending a wide range of goods – Thai OTOP system included – Thai art and have 125,000 square metres of total space and will include a shopping plaza and a walking street with 1,800 shops for Otop products, art and handmade items, fashion accessories, ornaments and of course a Bangkok range of food resorts.

Suan Lum Night Bazaar BangkokAlong with the new layout and style, continuity is a feature, with many of the old vendors from the previous site setting up shop – or stall as the case is.

It will also have magic shows and cabaret shows, a fitness centre, a boxing gym and a water park.

As with all other shopping markets in Bangkok, it has a wide range of everything - clothes, watches (good and bad) souvenirs for back home and plenty to eat from a wide range of market food stalls.

It is cheaper than the nearby Sukhumvit and Patpong areas, so probably no need to bargain for good prices.

Plenty of bars and varied restaurants - including Italian, German and Thai food.

Many of the food stalls have photo menus - so there is no need for the non-Thai speaking tourist to go hungry. After a few drinks and shopping here, you can move on to the many night clubs in the area - all night if you want!

“We want Suan Lum Night Bazaar Ratchadaphisek to become one of the landmarks that foreign tourists should visit in Bangkok," said Mr Pairojana, chief operating officer of Night Bazaar Co. His wishes and foresight have paid off, because the project has excelled.
