Hachiban Ramen in Bangkok - MBK Shopping Centre.

Visited on Monday 13th October with two Thai girls.

A great japanese Food Restaurant - clean and bright with cheerful ambience - all of which was helped by the company of the two lovely Thai ladies!

'Hachiban Ramen' - the Hachiban means literally the figure '8' and this is included on top of many food dishes - a great way to make the customer remember.

There are many branches of the restaurant chain in Bangkok, and seems to be a favourite eating haunt of Thai business ladies, but this is not to say that it is exclusive for such. As a 'Farang' I was totally at home and soon started to taste the food with little wait for it to appear on the table. Plenty of leg room for Farangs who are generally tally than their Thai friends.

Menu choice was easy with the large displayed menu on the wall and also with individual menus at the table. As standard there is a choice of six sauces - such as Soy, chilli etc. - all labelled, but in Thai! Chop sticks are 'normal' of course, but noticing that I was not normal - ie a 'Farang' the delightful lady attendant soon bought me spoon and fork - thus enabling me to keep up with my two companions.

The menu had interesting information about the history of Hachiban Raman, as well as the menu list - in Thai! Once you have decided - or have been advised - upon your choice of food, it is easy to 'adjust' the flavour to suit your own particular taste, by use of the supplied sauces/condiments.

Many choice of drinks including Cola - of course - iced water and green tea.
So, make a date, with number '8'. Great food, drink (company) and the place to conduct a business lunch - or simply let the time go by with a chat!
